Mulled wine is literally a hot topic. There are so many different types, but how do you make a really good one? This wonderful recipe by blogger Backen mit Christina uses only the best ingredients and spices. And what about the wine? Don't just use any old wine — use the best, as then the mulled wine will be incredible too.

    Heat the wine, sugar, orange juice and all the spices in a pan but do not bring to the boil.

    Allow to infuse over a low heat for at least one hour, serve hot and enjoy.
