What does a plant-based diet do to the body? And what about the environment? A lot! Our new No Need For Meat ready mixes are completely free from animal products and therefore not only impress with their excellent flavour.
It wasn’t so long ago that vegan nutrition was an exotic niche topic for most people – especially in meat-centred Europe: many people wondered what they were allowed to eat at all. Others wondered how it was possible to do without it all. The truth is: Nobody has to give up anything. Because there have always been exciting plant-based alternatives, and today more than ever. Eliminating some animal products from our cuisine not only benefits our own health, but the whole world.

Vegan food grows in popularity
Interest in plant-based alternatives has continued to grow, especially in recent years. Healthier, sustainable nutritional models are generally in demand: in Germany, for example, the market for meat alternatives grew by ten per cent between 2021 and 2022. However, the curve has been rising for many years. If the trend continues, sales of vegan products will grow by 157 per cent between 2022 and 2026, according to Statista. A total of 4 out of 10 Europeans surveyed are reducing or completely avoiding the consumption of animal products. Almost all of them are open to plant-based products – 86 per cent would at least try them. And 83 per cent would regularly buy meat alternatives if they had a convincing taste and texture.

What a plant based diet does to your body
If you’ve switched to a plant-based diet frequently or completely, your body can benefit in many ways: Because vegan foods are naturally cholesterol-free, your cholesterol levels are lowered – which can be good for your blood pressure. Plant-based foods can also help to stabilise blood sugar levels and improve digestion, mainly due to their high fibre content. This has also been confirmed by the world’s largest professional organisation for nutrition, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietics.
However, one more thing is very important to mention: Only a balanced diet that gives you all the nutrients you need is good for your health – being vegan alone is not enough!

A small ecological footprint
If you want to eat in a climate-friendly way, it is almost impossible to avoid plant-based nutrition: the environmental impact can hardly be compared with the consumption of animal products. The production of plant-based food generally requires much less water and land compared to animal husbandry.
In addition, a plant-based diet also sends a clear signal against industrial animal farming. Above all, if you consciously choose seasonal and regional produce, you are helping to further minimise global CO2 emissions. Last but not least, in addition to a focus on regional, organic animal welfare food, a plant-based diet is also a clear signal against industrial animal agriculture.
The No Need For Meat product range is characterised by natural, GMO-free ingredients and is rich in fibre and protein. It is the perfect choice when a wholesome, vegan meal needs to be prepared in a short amount of time. And the best thing is: even if you are actually a meat lover, you won’t notice a big difference in flavour thanks to our carefully selected recipe. And that’s exactly what we want to achieve: We make life easier for both convinced vegans and those who just want to skip meat for a while, paired with sustainable enjoyment. Plus, it not only benefits people, but also the environment.
